Covid-19: One Cr Cases In USA

Apart from the Presidential elections, the USA is also making headlines with its Covid-19 cases. The second wave of the pandemic has hit harder than the first. On Saturday, over 1.2 Lakh fresh cases have been reported and this has made the USA to become the first nation in the world to report one crore positive cases.

The total cases in the USA stands at 1,00,51,300 as of November 7th while the Sunday figures are yet to be out. Also last week on an average the case posted every day is 1,06,972 and the new infection rate has spiked by 29 percent. And so far 2,38,000 people have died of the virus in the US.

Coming to India, 45,903 new Covid-19 infections have been filed in the last 24 hours while the total cases tally stands at 85,53,657. The total active cases count is 5,09,673 and discharged count is 79,17,373. 490 people died in the last 24 hours and the total death count in India is 1,26,611.
