The Supreme Court of India slammed YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia for his vulgar remarks on the show, India’s Got Talent. The magistrate said that such behaviour should be strictly condemned and opined that Ranveer had ‘something dirty’ in his mind which made him deliver such disgusting statements.
Meanwhile, the court also protected Ranveer from arrest as requested in his petition. A few days ago, Ranveer resorted to the Supreme Court against multiple FIRs that were lodged against him and also sought protection from the arrest. The court also restrained Ranveer from airing any YouTube shows further.
A bench of Justices Surya Kant and N Kotiswar Singh heard the petition earlier today. According to the reports, Justice Surya Kant stated, “The words you have chosen, parents will be ashamed, sisters will be ashamed. The entire society will feel ashamed. The perverted mind. The perversion you and your henchmen have exhibited! We have a judicial system, bound by the rule of law. If there are threats (against Allahbadia), the law will take the course.”
The Justice also ordered Ranveer to submit his passport and directed him not to leave the country without permission. “If any other FIR on the same set of allegations is registered in Jaipur, arrest of the petitioner shall remain stayed. The petitioner shall deposit his passport at the Thane police station. He shall not leave the country without prior permission of this court,” Justice Surya Kant added.
