The 97th Oscars are currently underway, and popular actor Adam Sandler unexpectedly interrupted Conan O’Brien’s opening monologue for his comical antics. He also surprised the audience by wearing casual shorts and hoodie, and crashed O’Brien’s speech. The major highlight of Adam’s appearance at the event was his hugging Oscar nominee Timothee Chalemet and shouting, “Chalamet!” in his signature voice.
The video of Adam Sandler’s entry and his moment with Timothee Chalemet went viral on social media. For the uninformed, Timothee has been nominated for the Best Actor award for the film A Complete Unknown. When Adam Sandler entered the event unexpectedly, Conan O’Brien mocked him for his attire by saying, “Adam, what are you wearing? You look like someone playing video poker at 2 a.m.”
Adam Sandler gave it back to him by countering, “Nobody even noticed what I was wearing until you pointed it out. I like how I look because I’m a good person. My snazzy gym shorts and cozy sweatshirt offend you so much that you felt the need to call me out in front of all these people!”
