Amidst rumours that the North Korea’s supreme leader, dictator Kim Jong Un is not feeling well and some even suggesting that he has breathed last already due to a botched cardiovascular surgery, finally, the man has made a public appearance. Other day people erupted into cheers in the North Korean town of Suncheon where he attended ribbon cutting of a fertiliser factory.
After the April 11meeting of the ruling Workers’ Party politburo, Kim never made any public appearances. And speculations about his health started to spread after he missed the birth anniversary celebrations of state founder Kim Il Sung on April 15. Later it has come out that his sister, Chief Propagandist Kim Yo Jong might take the reigns from her brother as a monarch of the country.
Hongkong Television and other Chinese media giants claimed that Kim is dead, while US Intelligence and other authorities stated that he is very much in power. Finally it looks like US officials are quite correct in assessing Kim’s situation, and his public appearance other day is a testimony of that.
Some Korean experts suggested that maybe Kim is in quarantine all these days as the country now took coronavirus pandemic quite seriously.
