KKR vs CSK: One More Failure For Chennai Super Kings!

In the 25th game of Indian Premier League, Kolkata Knight Riders won the game against Chennai Super Kings. KKR won the game by 8 wickets.

Toss:
KKR won the toss and decided to bowl first.

First Innings:
Toss worked in the favour of KKR. The KKR bowlers successfully restricted the CSK batsmen to a low score. Despite Dhoni taking over the captaincy responsibilities, the team could not score well. None of his strategies worked out. As usual, Dhoni came late in the batting order but he could not make any mark. Except Conway, Tripathi, Vijay Shankar and Shivam Dube, the rest of the batsmen departed for single digit score. In 20 overs, the team scored 103 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Sunil Narine took three wickets. Varun Chakravarthy and Harshit Rana took 2 wickets each. Vaibhav and Moen Ali took a wicket each.

Second Innings:
In the second innings, the KKR batsmen chased down the score in just 11 overs. Everyone knew for a fact that KKR would win the game. KKR scored 107 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 10.2 overs. Narine scored 44 runs and he was the highest scorer of the team.

In a nutshell:
Its a debacle for CSK. Everyone predicted that the fate won’t change for the team despite Dhoni leading the team. The team lacks a proper hitter. The team is currently at the bottom of the table. KKR displayed a super performance but they need to strengthen their fielding team. Altogether, it’s KKR’s supremacy and CSK need to up their skills at all levels.
