Uttarakhand Chopper Crash: 2 Telugu Women Died

A tragic helicopter crash in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand has claimed the lives of six people, including two from Andhra Pradesh. The incident took place near Gangnani on Wednesday morning around 9 AM, when the helicopter was en route to Gangotri.

Among the deceased are Vedavati Kumari and Vijaya Reddy, both from Andhra Pradesh. Police have confirmed Vedavati as the sister of Anantapur MP Laxminarayana. Her husband, Bhaskar, was also on board and sustained serious injuries. He has been shifted to AIIMS Rishikesh for treatment.

There were a total of seven people in the helicopter when it crashed. Immediate rescue operations were launched by local authorities and emergency teams upon receiving the alert. The helicopter belonged to a private company, Aerotrans Services.

The cause of the crash is yet to be officially confirmed, and an investigation is underway.
