Over the last couple of days, there have been several speculations about the current owner of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru contemplating the idea of selling the franchise. It was even reported that the franchise is currently valued at $2 billion, and any potential suitors are welcome.
While these speculations began to gain traction and create a new discourse on social media, the matter has now reached the deputy chief minister of Karnataka DK Sivakumar.
Veteran politician was asked if he has any real interest in buying RCB from the current owners, he had a very hilarious reaction and here is a look into the same.
“I am not a mad man. I’m just a member of the Karnataka Cricket Association from my younger days, that’s all. I don’t have time, though I had offers to be part of the management. Why do I need RCB? I don’t even drink Royal Challenge, Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar said as he refuted rumours of him buying the RCB franchise.
The fact that the deputy chief minister said he doesn’t even drink Royal challenge liquor for him to have any interest in buying RCB is grabbing the comical attention on social media. Kumar is an entertaining personality, and he outdid himself with the statement.
