Apple is preparing to launch its iPhone 17 on Sep 9, 2025. The lineup will include four models, the standard iPhone 17, a lighter iPhone 17 Air, and two premium variants, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The new series is expected to come with design changes, upgraded cameras, and a more powerful processor.
According to reports, the prices of the new iPhones will be higher than their predecessors. The regular iPhone 17, which usually starts at around ₹79,990, could now be priced close to ₹84,990. The Pro variant may start at ₹1,24,990, while the top-end iPhone 17 Pro Max could be launched around ₹1,50,000, making it one of the most expensive iPhones in India to date.
All four models are likely to be powered by Apple’s latest A19 chip. For the first time, a 120Hz display will be available across the entire lineup, which was earlier limited only to the Pro models. Apple is also introducing a new 24MP front camera across all versions to improve selfies and video quality.
The Pro and Pro Max variants are said to come with a redesigned rectangular camera module and a major upgrade in telephoto zoom. These devices could feature a 48MP telephoto lens with up to 8x optical zoom, a big leap from the 12MP unit used previously.
Apple will officially unveil the iPhone 17 series on September 9 at 10:30 PM IST. With the higher price tag and major feature upgrades, the iPhone 17 series is shaping up to be Apple’s most advanced smartphone lineup yet.
