The Pakistan cricket board is known for some of the most pragmatic and unconventional decisions, and they appear to be back at it again, as the reports are suggesting that they could be out from the Asia Cup tournament.
The primary point that must be noted, here is that Indian players did not shake hands with Pakistani players after the game on Sunday night. This reportedly triggered the entire Pakistani cricketing ecosystem, and they are not threatening to quit Asia Cup regarding the same.
Apparently, Pakistan wants some consolidated action to be taken against the match refer Andy Pycroft as a retaliation for Indian players not shaking hands with them. They have presented this case in front of the ICC and even threatening to pull out of the Asia Cup tournament, if their demand is not met.
As ironic asset may sound, it appears that Pakistan is threatening to leave the Asia Cup tournament for the fact that Indian players did not shake hands and embarrassed them in the game on Sunday.
The Pakistani cricket Association has reportedly approached the ICC by saying that India discriminated the ICC code of conduct and they must be punishing the match referee for the same. If this really does happen, then Pakistan could be the first cricket team in history to get out of a tournament for the petty reason that a previous team didn’t shake hands with them.
