Team India has been having a horrid run-off for when it comes to home test match series’. After the qualifying defeat to New Zealand 3-0 at home, India again started the ongoing South African test series on a pathetic note.
After having already lost the first test match to South Africa, the host nation India is in a spot of bother as they prepare for the start of the second test match today.
This game is going to be played at the Guwahati Stadium, which is again known for unpredictable conditions. So India will have to be on the top of their game to be able to beat South Africa in this crucial encounter.
Considering that the first game was already won by South Africa, they stand with 1-0 lead in the series. Even if India wins the second test match, they can only tie the series 1-1 as this is only a 2-match series.
But nevertheless, India will be looking to avenge the humiliation from the first match as coach Gautham Gambhir might find it hard to sustain if he loses two back-to-back test series’ on home turf.
