A US based Telugu Software Manager, Cherukuri Chandrashekar (55), and his vehicle driver, Elamanchili Jagadish (32), died on the spot in a road accident near Anasagaram village in NTR district on Friday early morning. Another person named Jagadeesh sustained grievous injuries in the mishap.
The unfortunate incident took place when the victims were heading to Vijayawada from Hyderabad on some professional work at midnight on Thursday. The car they were travelling rammed into a cement laden lorry near Anasagaram bypass under Nandigama limits. Though it was a high-end luxury car worth 3 Crores with heavy safety precautions, the impact of the collision was so high that even air bags couldn’t save the lives of Chandrashekhar and his driver.
Chandrashekhar, who is a native of Puttaparthi district in Andhra Pradesh, settled in USA as a Software Engineer. He and his friend Jagadeesh established a Software Company in Hyderabad and also have other businesses. The duo frequently visit India to manage their business activities. On Thursday evening, they started from Hyderabad for Vijayawada.
As the cement truck stopped suddenly on the highway, the car failed to maintain distance and collided from backside resulting in fatal accident. Chandrashekhar’s wife immediately started from USA after knowing about the hapless accident.
