Ambani’s Vantara Zoo in Hyderabad’s Future City

With the success of the ongoing Telangana One rising summit, which brought 2.5 Lakh crores of investments. Now, Telangana government has entered into a major partnership with the Ambani family-run Vantara Zoo to develop a brand-new zoo and eco-tourism park in the Future City for which agreement was officially signed during the Telangana Rising Global Summit.

The State has allotted 200 acres of land ex for the project. This new facility is being planned as an Ecotourism and Zoological Development Zone, combining a modern zoo space with nature-friendly tourism activities. Apart from just the animals being on display, the project aims to create a pleasant atmosphere for families, tourists, students and nature lovers as a conservation space for the animals.

Under this agreement, Vantara Zoo will guide and support the State government. Their team will help plan night safaris, design better animal cages, improve security and set up modern visitor facilities. They will also assist in building better systems for animal care, health checks, waste management and overall habitat development for the state’s forest department.The government is keen on exploring a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model for the development and future operations of the zoo. 

With Hyderabad slowly emerging to be a top eco-tourism hub of the country with Gandipet park, Experium Eco Park and the latest Himayat Sagar Parkway. And now with the Vantara’s Zoo, the State hopes the project will improve tourism potential, generate employment, and provide recreational benefits to lakhs of visitors every year.

With Vantara’s involvement, Telangana aims to create a zoo and eco-tourism zone that matches international standards, making Future City a key destination in the State’s long-term economic project and tourism development plan.
