Air travel was once considered a luxury meant only for the wealthy, but that is no longer the case. Today, a large section of the population prefers to travel by aeroplanes. However, food and other services at airports have continued to remain expensive.
For instance, buying a simple water bottle or a cup of tea or coffee often costs several hundred rupees at Indian airports. Because of this, passengers have been repeatedly demanding affordable refreshment options at domestic airports.
Responding to this long standing demand, Hyderabad International Airport has introduced a budget friendly option for travellers to enjoy tea and coffee at reasonable prices.
As part of a broader initiative by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) to make air travel more affordable and passenger friendly, the Udan Yatri Cafe has been launched. This move aims to improve the overall travel experience for common passengers.
With tea priced at just ₹10, coffee at ₹20, and a selection of quick snacks available, passengers can now enjoy affordable refreshments before boarding their flights at Hyderabad International Airport.
This initiative removes the need to spend hundreds of rupees on basic refreshments at the airport and offers a practical and economical alternative for all travellers.
