The prevailing situation in Iran is deteriorating by the day as the supply of oil and gas is getting restricted alarmingly. Subsequently, even basic operations could be getting costly in the next few days.
The first and major sector to be affected by this situation is the restaurant industry. It is being reported that several hotels across Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and other metro cities in the country could be shutting down operations due to the limited commercial gas supply.
At this point in time, the hotels and restaurants across the country could be hiking the prices of the menu items in order to comply with the additional operational costs.
On the other hand, this financial effect could be extending to civil aviation as well. It must be noted that Air India has already communicated that they are imposing an additional surcharge on flight tickets due to the sharp increase in jet fuel prices.

More aviation companies could be following Air India with regard to the hike in ticket prices if the situation continues.
