It is already known that the drug trade practices across Hyderabad are being closely monitored by the dedicated Eagle teams that are orchestrated by the Hyderabad Police. Now there is a pretty significant piece of action in this context.
According to the latest reports, Hyderabad’s anti-drug agency EAGLE detained around 50 IT employees during a raid at the Nanakramguda residence of alleged ganja supplier Neetu Bhai, who reportedly escaped before the operation.
Police say the accused ran a drug network targeting IT professionals, and a manhunt is now underway to trace him and dismantle the racket.
The fact that as many as 50 IT employees had been arrested in this drug operation, convince the kind of drug consumption that is being observed in the IT sector in Hyderabad city.
This is a very dangerous trend that is developing in places of work and needs to be dealt with great intensity by the police department, it must be said.
Revanth Reddy government had constituted full power to the concerned anti-drug teams to enforce very strict policy with regard to drug peddling and consumption. So such anti-drug drives and activities across the city are expected to take full flight in the days to follow.
