CMC Strikes Big: Hyd Hotels Worried, Eaters Happy!

The Revanth Reddy government is doing something that no other administration could previously achieve in Telangana in the past. The kind of dedication that is being displayed towards urban development and sanitation maintenance is to be noted here.

For the first time in many years, the food inspection authorities are actively on the job and are taking on multiple food outlets across the city.

Every other day, we are hearing some sort of an update regarding the CMC officials inspecting food places across Hyderabad and assess the hygiene there. This has become a standard practice in the recent past.

The best outcome from this constant practice of inspecting the kitchens and places of food delivery is that these management will have to be on their feet and implement hygienic conditions. This is something that almost 90% of the food establishment across the city have been lacking.

Without proper inspections and subsequent action from the food safety department, several of these establishment had become nearly non-functional when it comes to food safety and hygiene maintenance in the kitchen.

But now that the municipal Corporation officials are coming out on inspection rounds on a consistent basis, several restaurants across the city are starting to enhance their service. This is a welcome change in terms of customer point of view.

This inspection system would not just regulate the restaurant authority to be very particular about the hygiene conditions, but also directly help the consumers who deserve good hygienic food preparation.

Last week, some of the legacy food spots in Hyderabad came under the CMC inspection radar and they’ve all been reprimanded by the authorities. Further violations could lead to serious consequences, and this will keep the management on the edge of their seat.
