US: NYC surpasses 1000 deaths within one month

US President Donald Trump has taken another important decision today on the ongoing corona outbreak that the government would be extending federal guidelines on social distancing until April 30. The decision comes after a top health official warned that more than 100,000 people could die from the novel virus in the United States.

Also, the  announcement was made on Sunday evening after learning that the death toll in New York state passed 1,000 within a span of one month. The majority of deaths were reported in the last week.  Currently, the US has 140,000 confirmed cases and it is more than any other country in the world.

And, 2,400 plus people have died from the respiratory illness caused by the pathogen. Therefore, new yorkers are frightened with the rapid spread of covid-19, leaving the whole city contaminated. Ever since March 10, all gatherings, movie theatres, and schools have been remained closed in NYC.
