The annual cricketing festival is about to begin in a couple of months. Yes, we are talking about the biggest cricket tournament in the world, Indian Premier League. The auction for the upcoming season will be held on the 18th of this month. A total of 1114 players have registered for this season of IPL.
The board has shortlisted 292 cricketers who will go under the hammer. Rs. 2 crores have been fixed as the highest reverse price in the auction. Players who have this highest base-price are Harbhajan Singh, Kedhar Jadhav, Glenn Maxwell, Steve Smith, Shakib Al Hasan, Moeen Ali, Sam Billings, Liam Plunkett, Mark Wood and Jason Roy.
12 players come up with a base price of Rs. 1.5 crores. 11 players have the base price of Rs. 1 crore. Hanuma Vihari and Umesh Yadav fell under this list. Out of 292 players, 164 are Indian players, 125 are overseas players and three are from associate nations. The auction will start at 03.30 PM.
