‘I Came To Bigg Boss Only For Money’

Actress Rimi Sen, who acted alongside Megastar Chiranjeevi in Andarivadu (2004), was pretty active in Bollywood from 2001 to 2009. However, she went largely unnoticed and had a dearth of offers. And after her downfall, Rimi then participated in the ninth season of Hindi Bigg Boss reality show in 2015. After six long years of appearing in the reality show, the actress opened up on what attracted her to be a part of Bigg Boss.

Rimi said she came to Bigg Boss only for money as she was getting paid a whopping amount for the episodes.“Everyone knows that celebrities do things for fame or for money. I did Bigg Boss only for money. They paid me around 2.25 crore for 49 days and nobody can earn this much money in such a short time. Most of the time people fail to understand the actual concept of Bigg Boss. The show is not about fighting and getting highlighted or giving content. This show is about getting your hidden personality out. And I found the concept very interesting when it got offered to me. They purposely create tasks in a way that your worst side comes out in public and that is something you have to have a hold on yourself,” Rimi told.

The actress also added that she deliberately played with the mind in order to stay safe for a longer duration on the show. “I knew that I have come for money and I have to behave well and go out with a good image which I did. I was quite successful in doing that”, she added.

Rimi Sen has some famous films in her kitty like Golmaal: Fun Unlimited, Hungama, Garam Masala, Dhoom and Baghban. Yes, she had a successful career but it lasted only for a short period of time, probably because she chained herself into doing the same type of genre roles which eventually got monotonous and repetitive. In Telugu, she was also seen in Ide Naa Modati Prema Lekha and Nee Thodu Kavali back in 2001 and 2002 respectively.
