Gautham Gambhir, the cricketer turned politician is working hard to make sure the COVID SOS requests are met. Through his foundation, he is pooling funds to help those in need. Bollywood star Akshay Kumar pledged a donation of one crore to Gambhir’s foundation. Gambhir confirmed the same on Twitter and called that Akshay Kumar is a ray of hope.
“Every help in this gloom comes as a ray of hope. Thanks a lot @akshaykumar for committing Rs 1 crore to #GGF for food, meds, and oxygen for the needy! God bless,” the tweet read from Gautham Gambhir.
In response to Gambhir’s tweet, the actor replied, “These are really tough times, @GautamGambhir. Glad I could help. Wish we all get out of this crisis soon. Stay Safe.”
Sooryavanshi, Bell Bottom, Atrangi Re, Prithvi Raj, Bachchan Pandey, and Ram Setu are Akshay Kumar’s upcoming films. Akshay is also busy with a web series for Amazon Prime Video. But the lockdown has resulted in him putting everything on hold.
