In a display of solidarity and hope with India over the Covid-19 crisis amidst a daily surge of nearly 4 lakh fresh Covid cases, the famous Niagara falls in Ontario, Canada has been illuminated with the tricolour of Indian flag. Over 30 minutes, the Niagara falls was illuminated with the tricolour. Touted as the ‘Natural Wonders Of the World’, the Niagara Falls is an iconic landmark in Canada.

“India is currently facing a surge in cases and losses of life resulting from COVID-19. In a display of solidarity and hope for India, Niagara Falls will be illuminated tonight from 9:30 to 10pm in orange, white and green, the colours of the flag of India. #StayStrongIndia,” tweeted Niagra Parks earlier before litting-up with the tricolour.

However, this is not the first time the Niagara Falls was lit-up with the Indian Flag. This is the second time in this year. The Niagara Falls was lit up in the tricolour earlier on the eve of India’s 74th Independence Day.
