How Much Did Virushka And Priyanka Raise For Covid Relief?

Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma who have announced fund raiser for Covid-19 relief works, have gathered a total of Rs 11.3 crore. The couple took to Instagram to thank their fans and people who have contributed and revealed the total funds raised stands at Rs 11,39,11,820.

“Words fall short to express how overwhelmed we feel to have exceeded our target not once, but twice, thanks to each one of you. To everyone who has donated, shared, and helped in any way, I want to say a big thank you. We are in this together, and we will overcome this together,” wrote Virat.

While Anushka wrote, “Truly amazed and humbled by the spirit of solidarity that you all have shown.” Both Virat and Anushka have donated Rs 2 crore from their end.

This amount will be donated to Act Grants, which will work towards providing oxygen, medical manpower and other things.

Priyanka Chopra Raises One Million Dollar Funds

Global icon, Priyanka Chopra Jonas expressed her happiness over hard work yielding profound results in helping India to combat the second wave of the pandemic. The actress said that over 14,000 contributors have helped raise $1 million and she also posted a video on Instagram featuring a world map that showcases the countries strode forward to donate for India.

“Through some of the darkest days in our history, humanity has once again proven that we are better together. @nickjonas and I are so humbled by your support and by the outpouring of help for India from so many parts of the world,” she wrote alongside the video.

“Over 14,000 good Samaritans opened their hearts and helped us raise $1 Million in these trying times. Countless others helped us spread the world to expedite the process. All the money raised is already being deployed across the country in the form of Oxygen Concentrators, Vaccine Support and so much more,” she added.

She further said that the fundraising target is now $3 million. “We can all continue to help so let’s not stop here. We’re raising the fundraising target to $3 Million and we know that with your help and support, we can achieve this too. Thank you all for your support and thank you @give_india for the incredible work you are doing on ground,” the actress concluded. The fight has been joined by her husband and pop singer, Nick Jonas as well who have appeared in a new video, urging fans to donate funds to help India fight against Covid-19.
