Yoga guru Baba Ramdev made controversial comments that many people are dying due to Allopathic medicines and it’s a stupid science. A video of Baba Ramdev’s comments has surfaced on social media and this invited an outrageous response from the medical fraternity.
“Remdesivir, Fabiflu, and all other drugs approved by the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) failed in treating Covid-19. The medicines doctors are giving patients for getting the fever down such as Fabiflu is not doing any good to them,” says Baba Ramdev.
The Indian Medical Assocation (IMA) has reacted to the yoga guru’s comments and demanded that the Union Health Ministry should take an action against Baba Ramdev. In case if the Health Ministry fails, IMA threatened that it would drag Baba Ramdev to the court to issue and unconditional apology.
“Under section 3 of the Epidemic Disease Act with section 188 of the Indian Penal Code, Ramdev deserves to be prosecuted for disobeying and causing danger to the life of many by making them believe and make them not to take the advice of allopathy drugs,” said IMA in a statement.
Meanwhile netizens who have watched this video are blasting Baba Ramdev. A user questioned if the yoga guru believes Allopathy is stupid science, why did he get admitted in a corporate hospital after falling from an elephant and sustained a minor injury.
The yoga guru is seriously in a spot of bother and he needs to come out and explain his comments.
