Gone missing in 2017, a Telugu techie was found detained in Pakistan in 2019. Identified as Vaindam Prashanth, he was arrested on November 14, 2019 in Yazaman Mandi of Bahwalpur district of Punjab province, Pakistan.
Apparently Prashanth embarked on a solo journey to meet his girlfriend who resides in Rajasthan. But he lost track and ended up at the borders of India and Pakistan. The Pakistan forces have detained him and produced before a court. A video of Prashanth was also released then. Since then Prashanth’s parents who are native of Vizag have been trying their best to get him freed.
After two and half years of battle, Prashanth has been set free by Pakistan. This morning Prashanth was surrendered to India at the Wagah border and he landed in Hyderabad. Now he is on his way to Vizag where his parents are eagerly waiting for his arrival.
“I am very happy and it’s been almost four years,” said Prashanth in his first comment.
