Just In: Iconic actor Dilip Kumar gets hospitalized

Iconic veteran actor Dilip Kumar got admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai in the early hours of Sunday due to breathlessness. Currently, a team of doctors is monitoring his health condition and an update is yet to be out.

Announcing the news, the official Twitter account of Dilip Kumar, which is handled by his manager, tweeted, “Dilip Sahab has been admitted to non-COVID PD Hinduja Hospital Khar for routine tests and investigations. He’s had episodes of breathlessness. A team of healthcare workers led by Dr. Nitin Gokhale is attending to him. Please keep Sahab in your prayers and please stay safe.”

The 98-year-old actor was admitted to the hospital last month as well due to the regular health checkup and was discharged after a couple of days. Dilip Kumar’s wife Saira Bhanu and his team give timely updates about his health conditions regularly on social media. Both Kumar and Saira Bhanu have been staying under home isolation ever since the COVID-19 second wave plagued India a couple of months back.

Kumar is a legendary actor in Hindi Cinema who delivered many blockbusters like Mughal-e-Azam, Kohinoor, Shakti, and Naya Daur.
