Finally the poor of India are going to get benefit of the government as Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced ‘One Nation – One Ration.’ In his fifth address to the nation, PM Modi announced the extension of PM Gareeb Kalyan Anna Yojana till the end of November and this would cost over Rs 90 thousand crore.
PM Modi also stated that in the last 3 months, Rs. 31,000 crore deposited in bank accounts of 20 crore poor families and Rs. 18,000 crore deposited in bank accounts of more than 9 crore farmers. This is all part of the Rs 1.75 Lakh crore package announced earlier.
On the Covid-19 situation, PM Modi said India is still in a very stable situation and timely decisions and measures have played a great role. Modi also stressed the need to have a special focus on containment zones.
Concluding his speech PM Modi thanked the hard working farmers and honest tax payers which has enabled the government is able to provide free food grains to the poor and the needy.
The speech of PM Modi lasted for just over 18 minutes.
