A crew of US and Russian astronauts returned to Earth after over seven months. They landed in a SpaceX capsule off the coast of Florida on Friday. The four, Matthew Dominick, Michael Barratt, Jeanette Epps, and Russian cosmonaut Alexander Grebenkin, returned to Earth on Friday. Their plan to return two weeks ago was delayed due to Hurricane Milton.
NASA said the crew received medical exams upon exiting the SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft. Still, the latest reports say they were hospitalized for additional examination ‘out of an abundance of caution’.
The crew spent the last seven months conducting hundreds of scientific experiments, including one with stem cells and plants, among others concerned with the health of astronauts in space. The astronauts are said to be in stable condition, but rumors have it that one of them experienced a rare medical issue and was kept under observation.
The two other astronauts stuck in space, Sunitha Williams and Butch Wilmore will remain on the ISS until February next year.
