Seasoned Telugu actor and Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna has been bestowed with the prestigious Padma Bhushan award by the government of India ahead of the 76th Republic Day. Balayya was honoured with the coveted award for his distinguished service to the field of art as an actor in his career spanning five decades.
Immediately after the news came out, wishes started to pour in for the actor from all quarters. Jr. NTR took no time to acknowledge the proud moment of Nandamuri family. He took to X and congratulated his uncle Balakrishna for the award. He posted ” Heartiest congratulations to Bala Babai on being honored with the prestigious Padma Bhushan award. This recognition is a testament to your unparalleled contributions to cinema and your relentless public service”.
Nandamuri fans are thrilled with the news and their jubilation doubled with NTR’s wishes. They are on cloud nine as Balakrishna’s contribution to Telugu cinema has finally been recognised.
He recently scored a blockbuster with Daaku Maharaj. Balakrishna is now only the third actor in Tollywood after Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Megastar Chiranjeevi to get the Padma Bhushan award.
