Amazon Prime is striking hard and is buying big films for its OTT release in full flow.
The next big film that will release on Amazon Prime is Farhan Akhtar’s Toofan directed by Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra.
The film is based on boxing and showcases the emotional journey of Ali who is a don in the bylanes of Mumbai.
The film releases on July 16th and just a week later, one more Tamil biggie Sarpatta Parambarai will be out on June 22nd on Amazon itself.
Incidentally, this film is also based on boxing and has Arya in the lead role. Things get hotter as the film is directed by award-winning director Pa Ranjith.
The major difference between the film is that Sarpatta Parambarai is based in 1971 and is a period drama. Arya will be seen in the role of an emotional boxer.
Both these films will be high on emotions and have solid production values and will release a week apart making things interesting for the audience.
