#RRR Release Date: Rajamouli Says ‘No Idea’

From a time, rumour shave started doing rounds once again that the release date of #RRR got postponed from January 8, 2021. Going by the current lockdown situation, of course, anyone could easily second guess it. But what has director giant Rajamouli to say about this?

“No idea,” says Rajamouli, as he added that lots of factors are influencing things right now and it will be unjust to speculate about #RRR release date now. “First of all, government should lift lockdown, and there are red zones, containment zones to take care of. Even if lockdown removal is initiated, I’m assuming that cinema theatres will be the last to be opened and cinema shootings will be the last ones to be granted permission. So, only after shootings resume, we could talk about dates” he said.

Giving more light on the release date, he added, “When we have locked Jan 8th, we have much buffer time to wrap the movie and go for promotions. Though we have only 20-30% shooting of the film left, it won’t be happening on time if lockdown gets extended. Only after the government lifts lockdown, we could say a thing or two about #RRR release date”.

Not just #RRR, many films that are targeting Dasara and Diwali release and Sankranthi 2021 release will be missing out release deadlines.
