Is Bollywood Not Keerthy Suresh’s Cup of Tea?

Some actresses become stars in one film industry but fail to achieve the same success in another. While they enjoy huge popularity in the South, their Bollywood journey may not always go as planned. Keerthy Suresh seems to be facing a similar situation.

Keerthy is one of the popular actresses in South Indian cinema. She won the hearts of audiences with her performances in films like Mahanati. The actress also received a National Award for her role as legendary actress Savitri. But her Bollywood journey has not been as successful as expected.

Keerthy made her Hindi film debut with Baby John alongside Varun Dhawan. The film was expected to give her a strong start in Bollywood. But it failed to make a big impact at the box office. The film faced criticism and became a topic of discussion for the wrong reasons.

After Baby John, the actress appeared in Akka. Her bold transformation and different role attracted attention. Many expected the project to bring a new image to Keerthy’s career especially after her marriage. But the film did not deliver the expected response. This project also faced criticism and trolling on social media. Once again Keerthy could not achieve the kind of success she enjoys in South Indian cinema.

So definitely her South fans are feeling that Bollywood is really the right place for Keerthy Suresh. There have been several actresses like Shriya, Kajal Aggarwal who found huge success in the South but struggled to make a mark in Hindi cinema. At the same time some Bollywood stars like Deepika Padukone have not been able to create the same craze among Telugu audiences.

Every industry has its own audience preferences and expectations. So a successful actress in one industry may need not be successful in another industry also. Keerthy still has a strong position in South Indian cinema. So she can continue doing more Telugu and Tamil films with more focus rather than continue exploring opportunities in Bollywood. That would be great for her and good news for her South fans.
