Music director Thaman comes from a musical background and all of his family members are trained in the profession. But the composer never gave a chance to his mother to sing in his film.
When asked about the reason behind it in a recent interview, Thaman said that he felt people may feel that he is giving too many chances to his family members and that is the reason why his mother hasn’t sung in his films until now.
“After my father’s death, I have taken my mother’s responsibility for the last 27 years. She often shows interest in singing in my movies. But I feel people may think that I am giving too many chances to my family members. That is the reason why I haven’t given her a chance until now.”
“Meanwhile, my wife Sri Vardhini crooned for films like Kick and Anjaneyulu. She is also singing in my upcoming film with hero Vishal,” he further added.
Thaman’s latest release Tuck Jagadish, starring Nani in the lead role, had a direct digital premiere on Amazon Prime Video a couple of nights back.
Some of Thaman’s upcoming films include Chiranjeevi’s Godfather, Ram Charan-Shankar’s untitled project, Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak, and Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata.
