Natural Star Nani announced his new film the other day on the auspicious occasion of Vijaya Dasami. Titled Dasara, this movie is set in the backdrop of Singareni coal mines. Debutant Srikanth Odela is directing this project. Keerthy Suresh playing the female lead in it.
Star Tamil composer Santosh Narayanan has been roped in as the music director of this movie. Many people thought that this movie marks Santhosh’s debut in Tollywood but it’s not. The talented composer already made his Telugu debut with the 2014 film Billa Ranga.
It is a small-budget film that tanked at the box office. Thus, Santosh didn’t get fame in Telugu with his debut film. Later, he got busy in Tamil and went on to reach the stardom there. Now, he is planning to revive his career in Tollywood with Dasara.
Another star Tamil composer Anirudh made his Telugu debut with Agnyathavaasi. Even though the album was good, the movie tanked at the box office. Thus, Anirudh lost a few chances here. But he made a strong comeback with Nani’s Jersey. After the success of Jersey, Nani worked with Anirudh one more time for the film Gang Leader. Even the album of that film went on to become a success. Thus, Nani worked like a lucky charm for Anirudh, after a debacle debut.
Now, it has to be seen if his charm can turn out to be lucky for Santosh Narayanan too and give the composer a breakthrough in Tollywood.
Apart from Dasara, Nani is also working for the films Shyam Singha Roy and Ante Sundaraniki.
