Opinion: This Silence Of Tollywood Is Hurting A Few

Regarding the ticket rates in Andhra Pradesh state, already the government gave a clear picture about what is to come by declaring that they are gonna fix the rate officially and distributors or producers could not hike it anymore. This led to a huge commotion in Tollywood as some big films are about to release, but then, everyone wonders why is this umpteen silence.

At a time when Tollywood voiced its opinion very stronger, there is outright criticism from some quarters and some said that AP Govt is doing the best for them. But finally, with ticket rates locked up, surely big films won’t make huge profits as expected and some might not even recover half of their investment even if the film is a huge hit. Amidst this junction, Megastar Chiru expressed his displeasure through social media tweets, but what about others?

A section of Tollywood is currently deeply hurt by this silence as they feel that only selective issues get highlighted in media as well when it comes to the Telugu film industry. When MAA Election could get major attention, when other controversial speeches could get the attention, why not this ticket pricing issue is not hogging the limelight is their question.

But a view is being heard that, now more and more big movies will go towards OTT way until the AP Govt relaxes rules over ticket pricing.
