With Telangana Health Minister other day hinting at the possibility of lockdown from the end of January in the state if covid cases raise big time, Tollywood is now gripped with fear. This is not because of the pending releases as theatres will be closed, but about the pending shootings that are going at a brisk pace right now.
Some big to medium budgeted films that are on the sets might actually feel nothing about the lockdown break as they know that huge time will be taken up to complete the balance part of the shooting. However, some small budgeted movie makers who will be needing a week or two to complete their films are actually worried about the lockdown.
A report is doing rounds that Tollywood will be approaching Telangana CM KCR to grant them special permission to shoot films during the lockdown. Some producers are said to have made a draft about the shooting plans and guidelines, as they want to take up only people that took two vaccine doses already. At the same time, they want to explain how masking and sanitiser rules will be enforced strictly on movie sets.
If at all lockdown occurs in Telangana, will KCR really give such special provisions to Telugu Film Industry to shoot movies? We have to see what happens.
