Jana Gana Mana – Jagan’s Satire On Which State?

Other day director Puri Jagan has confirmed that even before the release of “Liger” in August 2022, the shooting of his “Jana Gana Mana” with Vijay Devarakonda will be wrapped up. That brings us to the question about the content that Jana Gana Mana is going to showcase to the audience.

According to a rumor that popped up a long time ago, Jana Gana Mana is the story of a military officer who takes over a state when a fraudulent Chief Minister and other bureaucrats start troubling their citizens.

It’s more like a military coup but Puri’s vision is that handing over the ruling to the military will bring in lots of discipline, thereby promoting growth and resulting in a prosperous state. But, which state will be Puri Jagan’s backdrop now?

As the director wants to take up the film at pan-India level, he might base it in Mumbai backdrop say some insiders, but then Puri Jagan is said to have written the story with Telugu states backdrop. However, whichever state he picks from these two, surely it will be a big political satire on the current ruling class.

If reports are to be believed, Vijay Devarakonda will be playing the role of a military major in the movie.
