‘You Hate Kashmir Files & That’s Why I Love You’: Director To RGV

Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files is now the most-talked-about movie. It is based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits and has been grabbing the attention of the viewers for its honest and brutal storytelling. After the common public, even celebrities and politicians have expressed their views on this movie. Of late, RGV also reacted to The Kashmir Files in a video and director Vivek Agnihotri has the perfect reaction to this.

Ram Gopal Varma took to his YouTube channel and shared a video titled ‘I hate Kashmir Files’. He started the video by saying, “For the first time in my entire career, I am reviewing a film”. He continued, “I don’t really review the film’s subject or the controversial content, I want to review it as a filmmaker on how the film has been made.” The filmmaker went on to praise The Kashmir Files and appreciated how the movie was made, including Anupam Kher’s spectacular performance in the movie.

Ram Gopal Varma wrote while sharing the video on his Twitter, “Don’t take at face value that mainstream Bollywood, Tollywood etc are ignoring the mega success of #kashmirifiles ..The reality is they are taking it more SERIOUSLY than the AUDIENCES , but their SILENCE is because they are SHIT SCARED ..Watch my REVIEW”. He further said in the video, “I hate Kashmir Files because it destroyed whatever I learnt and whatever I thought was right.” Vivek Agnihotri reacted to RGV’s review of his film and wrote, “You hate #TheKashmirFiles @RGVzoomin and that’s why I love you.”

Furthermore, RGV also shared a tweet praising Vivek for breaking some of the biggest myths about the film industry. He tweeted, “@vivekagnihotri single handedly(footedly) KICKED on the following myths ASSES 1.Only big stars can get people into theatres 2.Only mega budgets can get people into theatres 3.Only #KapilSharmaShow can get people into theatres 4.Only super hit songs can get people into theatres.”
