RRR Hindi Day 1 Collections Indicate Solid Start

RRR is off to a flying start in the Telugu states and it set the all-time record opening in North America. RRR collected a whopping 4.6 Million USD (Till 3 PM EST) on Day 1 including Thursday premieres. It surpassed Baahubali: The Conclusion’s record of 4.5 Million USD on Day 1.

However, all eyes are on Hindi collections. Since RRR is Rajamouli’s immediate film after magnum opus Baahubali, naturally all eyes are on how Jakkanna’s film took off in Hindi. Going by the trade reports, the Hindi figures are good.

Trade estimates state that RRR Hindi may have collected between Rs 17 Crore to Rs 18 Crore Nett on the first day. The film recorded good figures in Mumbai, Nagpur and Thane. The BO figures in Odisha are said to be startling and huge.

However, trade is estimating that the Odisha figures may also include the Telugu version numbers. Yet on the whole, RRR got a solid start in some Hindi belts.

The downside is that North figures are not encouraging which is as per earlier predictions. In Delhi NCR, East Punjab and Kolkata, the film got lukewarm response. Especially in the multiplexes, the film got low occupancy. However, overall, the multiplexes collections for Hindi are fair owing to the high-ticket prices. On the whole, RRR Hindi estimated to have collected between Rs 17 Cr to Rs 18 Cr Nett. The final figure may be slightly more or less compared to the estimate.
