After the likes of RRR and KGF 2, Indian cinema is gearing up for the release of yet another larger-than-life spectacle. We are talking about Prithviraj, a historic drama that features Akshay Kumar as the lead hero.
The theatrical trailer of this movie was released about a while ago. Going by it, the film looks like a historical epic that is on the lines of Jodhaa Akbar, Bajirao Mastani, and Panipat.
There are huge sets all-around, filled with hundreds of junior artists in every frame. The film traces the life of emperor Prithviraj Chauhan. It also features Manushi Chillar, Sanjay Dutt, and Sonu Sood in the other important roles.
The action sequences were shot in a grand manner. However, the background score was not that impactful. The production values are great and it looks like Yash Raj Films shelled out a huge budget for this movie. Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi has directed the project.
On the whole, it has to be seen if Prithviraj can repeat the magic of RRR and KGF 2. It will release in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil on June 3.
