‘I’m Stealing Rajamouli’s Father From Him’

Bollywood’s big ticket ‘Brahmastra’ commenced its promotions earlier in the day ahead of its September 9th release. A small glimpse was unveiled by the team which had the trailer launch date and it would happen on June 15th.

While promoting the film in Vizag, director Rajamouli, Bollywood hero Ranbir Kapoor and director of ‘Brahmastra’ Ayan Mukherji had a fun interactive session with the media and also among themselves.

During then Rajamouli shot a question to director Ayan for not showing ‘Brahmastra’ to him whereas it was screened for writer Vijayendra Prasad. Ayan was spontaneous in his reply and added that he wanted to steal Vijayendra Prasad from Rajamouli. “I was trying to steal your father (Vijayendra Prasad) away from you,” Ayan told Rajamouli.

“I realised that Rajamouli sir has a ‘Brahmastra’ (referring to Vijayendra Prasad) in his pocket. So I thought I should also get that ‘Brahmastra.’ I wanted some of his guidance and advice for the film,” replied Ayan but he promised to Rajamouli that the former would be holding a special screening of ‘Brahmastra’ very soon.

Then hero Ranbir Kapoor took the mic from Ayan and revealed that after Vijayendra Prasad watched ‘Brahmastra,’ the film was reshot for four days. “Ayan valued Vijayendra Prasad’s suggestions so much and they were added to the film. We are really grateful to Vijayendra Prasad for his contribution,” added Ranbir.

It’s really amazing that Vijayendra Prasad’s inputs were taken seriously by a Bollywood filmmaker. Well that’s what happens when you deliver blockbusters and the pen does the talking.
