‘I Signed A Telugu Film Before Fahadh Did,’ Says Nazriya

Popular Malayalam actress Nazriya Nazim is making her Telugu debut with the upcoming film Ante Sundaraniki. Directed by Vivek Athreya, this movie features Nani in the lead role. It is slated for a worldwide release on June 10.

For the unversed, Nazirya is the wife of Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil. The latter made his Telugu debut a few months ago with Pushpa: The Rise. Coincidentally, both Fahadh and Nazriya’s maiden Telugu films are bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers.

When asked about this coincidence, Nazriya said that she signed Ante Sundaraniki way before Fafa signed Pushpa.

In a recent interview with The Hindu, Nazriya said that to a small extent, she thinks that her decision to do a Telugu film might have made it easy for Fahadh to say yes to Pushpa. She says that unlike her, Fahadh is skeptical to work in other languages.

Fahadh was recently seen in the film Vikram, which has become a blockbuster. Speaking about it, Nazriya said that Vikram is an amazing film and it is a joy to see Kamal Haasan back on the big screen. She added that she liked her husband as well, in Vikram.

According to Nazriya, the biggest high for Fahadh in Vikram is to be around Kamal. She added that Fafa is also a fan of director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s work.
