Director Sudheer Varma, who made films like Swami Ra Ra, Dochay and Ranarangam, is now back with his new film Saakini Daakini. Starring Regina Cassandra and Nivetha Thomas in the lead roles, this action comedy is an official remake of the Korean film Midnight Runners.
The teaser of this flick was unveiled earlier today. Nivetha and Regina play the roles of police trainees in the movie. They are roommates in the police academy and share a cat and mouse relationship.
How these Saakini and Daakini join hands together forms the main crux of the film. The teaser is an entertaining ride. The chemistry between Regina and Nivetha looks hilarious. It looks like they had a lot of fun while shooting for this film.
Sudheer impressed us earlier with his crime comedy Swami Ra Ra. We have to see how he manages to entertain us with this action comedy.
Saakini Daakini is slated for a worldwide release on September 16. It is being produced jointly by Suresh Productions, Guru Films and Kross Pictures.
