PS1 Trailer: The Fight For Supremacy In Chola Kingdom

Ponniyin Selvan Part 1 trailer was launched today in a grand event. The legendary director Mani Ratnam has lost his form for a few years and now with PS 1, he is expected to rewrite some records. The PS 1 trailer launch event is graced by most of the stars in the film and it was launched by Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth. Aishwarya Rai gracing the event remains the center of attraction.

Mani Ratnam chose visual grandeur for PS1 which is away from his usual style. A meteor dropping from the sky is shown as a bad omen for one from the Chola Kingdom and that leads to internal conflicts among the kings. The internal battles begin while one fights for supremacy, the other for survival. The politics and the games for the throne bring in the women in the Chola kingdom. Rana’s voiceover for the trailer added more intrigue.

Along with the peak performances of lead star cast Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, and Aishwarya Rai, the visual effects and the grandeur made the trailer more promising. The insidious moves and acts all remind us of Game Of Thrones.

AR Rahman’s background score and Ravi Varman’s cinematography are top-notch.
