Replacing Kajal in The Ghost was a challenge: Praveen Sattaru

King Nagarjuna’s latest action thriller The Ghost is gearing up for release on October 5. Directed by Praveen Sattaru, this film features Sonal Chauhan as the female lead. Both Nag and Sonal played the roles of Interpol officers in the movie.

Initially, the makers roped in Kajal Aggarwal for this film. She shot for a couple of days and then she had to walk out of the project due to pregnancy. Praveen Sattaru said that her exit was challenging.

Speaking in an interaction with Pinkvilla, Praveen said that it is a simple film with action and family elements. He stated that the action sequences come organically and the story demands them.

So, when Kajal left the movie, it was challenging for the makers to replace her with another heroine. They cannot just rope in any heroine. She needs to perform action scenes well and has to stand shoulder to shoulder with Nagarjuna. Apparently, there are also scenes where the heroine saves Nagarjuna.

Finally, the makers roped in Sonal Chauhan and Praveen was very happy with the decision. He said that Sonal pulled off her role incredibly well.

The Ghost is produced jointly by Suniel Narang, Puskur Ram Mohan Rao and Sharrath Marar.
