Trailer Talk: Vicky Rocks, Kiara Sizzles, Bhumi Tops

After enthralling the audience with some typical performance, finally talented hero Vicky Kaushal is coming up with a ‘pakka’ commercial movie, titled “Govinda Naam Mera”. While the film is heading for a direct release on Disney+Hotsar this December 16th, the makers have started promoting the movie by releasing the trailer first.

Going by trailer it happens to be a quirky comedy where Bhumi Pednekar plays Govinda (Vicky)’s bossy wife, and Kiara Advani appears as his spicy girlfriend. At a time when Govinda wants to divorce his wife, who demands ₹2 crores in alimony to leave him, gets entangled in a murder as a prime suspect. While Vicky and Bhumi rocked and topped the show with their umpteen performance, Kiara’s glamour quotient is over the top and definitely a whistle-worthy act aimed at masala lovers.

At one point, we feel like watching the second half of DJ Tillu if “Govinda Naam Meera” trailer is anything to go by, but such murder comedies have become quite common in recent times with the likes of Alia Bhatt’s “Darlings” also appearing to be the same. Directed by Sashank Khaitan of Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Dhadak fame, the film is produced by Karan Johar.
