Mahesh & Charan Rejected This Sankranthi Film?

Star Tamil hero Vijay’s latest movie “Varasudu” has become all sorts of discussion in Telugu circles these days. This is because, the film’s producer Dil Raju is releasing the original version in Tamil and dubbed version in Telugu at the same time, and here in Tollywood he’s competing with biggies like Megastar’s Waltair Veerayya and Balayya’s Veera Simha Reddy. And here come interesting rumours about the original hero of this film.

Director Vamsi Paidipally, who has made successful films like Maharshi with Mahesh Babu has become a good friend of the star hero since then. Later, it has come out that he will be directing Mahesh again, but that film never took off. However, it is now coming out that the director has prepared a story for Mahesh, which the star hero rejected, but then the director took it to Vijay.

Before approaching this Tamil superstar, Dil Raju is said to have made Ram Charan listen to this. But with Charan picking S Shankar’s film over Vamsi’s story, finally, it went to Vijay.

Though producer Dil Raju is maintaining that lack of Mahesh and Charan’s dates made them approach Vijay for this movie, insiders are saying that both the Telugu stars haven’t really got excited by the story as they have done such films earlier. Also, the film is said to be very close to the storylines of Maharshi and other movies of Vamsi Paidipally.
