Multiple Releases Lined Up for Maha Shivarathri Weekend

After Pathaan, the box office has been dull across India. None of the films that were released in the last couple of weeks managed to entertain the audience. This week, there are many movies lined up for release across various languages. The Shivarathri festive season will be an advantage as well for these flicks.

Versatile actor Dhanush’s new outing Sir will hit the screens this Friday. It is titled ‘Vaathi’ in Tamil. This Tamil-Telugu bilingual is directed by Venky Atluri. Among all releases in Telugu, it has a good buzz among the audience.

Young hero Kiran Abbavaram will be testing his luck with Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha. It is slated for release on February 18th, on the occasion of Maha Shiva Rathri.

In Hindi, Kartik Aaryan’s Shehzada is slated for release this Friday. It is an official remake of the 2020 Telugu film Ala…Vaikunthapurramuloo. It is the first big release in Hindi after the release of Pathaan. We have to see how it fares at the box office.

Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is also hitting the screens this Friday. This is the first release of Marvel in 2023. There is high anticipation built around this film and the advance bookings are very good as well.

Malavika Mohanan’s new Malayalam flick Christy and Santosh Shoban’s rom-com Sridevi Shobanbabu are lined up for release on February 17th and February 18th respectively. On the whole, theatres will be packed with these multiple releases this week. We have to see which of these movies manages to become winners at the box office.
