‘Sir, I Wrote It Before Super 30’

Dhanush’s latest film Sir is having a dream run at the box office. It proved to be a super hit in both Tamil and Telugu. Directed by Venky Atluri, this movie showcases the loopholes and commercialization of the education system in our country.

Many people who watched the film felt that it is similar to Hindi flicks Super 30 and 3 Idiots. However, Venky Atluri denied these allegations. He said the he wrote Sir’s way before the release of Super 30.

Speaking in an interview, Venky Atluri said that he studied in the 1990s and wrote this film’s script based on his own experiences. He stated that he was afraid when Super 30 was released thinking that it will be similar to his story. But after watching it, he was relieved that there are no similarities between both the films.

Venky Atluri also said that he always wanted Dhanush to do the film. When he narrated the script, Dhanush immensely liked it and was ready to give dates to Venky whenever he wants. His trust has now resulted in the film’s blockbuster success.
