Veteran singer LR Eeshwari needs no introduction to Telugu audiences. She is known for her husky voice and sang many super hit songs like Masaka Masaka Cheekatilo, Bhale Bhale Mogadivoy and Teekso Coca-Cola. Now, this legendary singer made sharp remarks against the popular song ‘Oo Antava…Oo Oo Antava…’ from the film Pushpa: The Rise.
Speaking in an interview, LR Eeshwari stated that she is not a fan of present-generation songs. She didn’t even consider Oo Antava as a song. “Is that even a song? The composition and singing will be on the same pitch right from the beginning to the end. Singers will sing as they were instructed. It is the music director’s responsibility to monitor them. If that song was offered to me, it would have reached the next level,” she said.
Eeshwari criticised the present generation’s filmmakers and technicians by saying, “As we are seniors and we worked with seniors, our songs are still entertaining audiences even now. In those days, a film used to run for 100 or 200 days. Now, running for 10 days itself has become a big thing.”
