The two-part stories is slowly becoming the norm in Tollywood. Most of the upcoming films are going 2-part way. It is a good strategy, but the first part should create sensation and set the platform for its second part.
Many films that leave a hint of sequel in the end are backing off when they understand the result of the first part. But, some don’t seem to stop irrespective of the output of the first part. In a career spanning over five years, Vishwak has already directed two films, Falaknuma Das and Das Ka Dhamki. The latter was released last month and received a lukewarm response in theatres. Das Ka Dhamki premiered on the OTT last Friday and is getting a decent response.
In a recent interview, Vishwak Sen said that after looking at the response for Das Ka Dhamki, his team plans to develop a sequel soon. Vishwak said the sequel works would begin next year and added that they would be beyond audiences’ expectations. Many are wondering how he is planning to make a sequel for a strictly below average film.
Not just him, but another recent release Kabzaa that failed miserably has announced the sequel. Kabzaa was planned to be made in two parts and the disastrous reult of the first part has not changed anything regarding the sequel.
